Ladybird mindfulness, and frazzles

I’ve been a bit quiet lately. Not contacting folks or going out much.

In the meantime, I’m doing just fine here, our heat works well, we have a lot of blankets on our beds, lots of supplies in the cupboards, and lots of woollen projects on the go. Hats and gloves mostly, designing my own patterns, and practicing embroidery quite a bit more, and sewing more too..

Favourite hot drink these past evenings is a half cup heated almond or oat milk, and half cup hot water, and sometimes a half teaspoon maple syrup.. mmm…

After telling my friends that Ive been feeling a bit blue these past couple of months, my friend in Australia sent me a delightful Ladybird book made especially for for adults, this one entitled ‘Mindfulness’, with an introduction that says,

“…with clear script, the careful choice of words, frequent repetition and thoughtful matching of text with pictures all enable grown-ups to think they have taught themselves to cope.”

Ha! So much fun.

Here’s a page from the book as an example, and the same image is on the cover. My friend said it might be me, in an ethereal and mindfulness sense. So kind.

Many of the individual page snippets are quite good and humorous.. I understand Frazzles are British bacon-flavoured crisps. Funny!
