Love, creation, untethered (Mini update #14)

This week, I’m reminded of the power that a woman can conjure in the face of extraordinary pain and suffering. Frida embodies this.

To all women past and present who know pain and suffering, much love and respect.

A dear friend has recently received news and is embarking on a journey of trials that would break any woman.. but this woman, a goddess, a warrioress, is bearing it with grace, surrounded by a circle of angels and forces that be, and inspiring everyone she touches. She is love, creation, untethered.

My struggles seem insignificant in the scheme of things. My prognosis is very good. It’s taking a long time, and doctors say many more months. Headaches are somewhat controlled. Energy is improving with new medication. Side effects are bothersome. Brain re-mapping is interesting (if you receive a dm from me asking questions about the past, this is me trying to connect old dots!). Frustration is low, I’m in the flow of “allowing” and not concerned with “shoulds” or status quo. My creative side is blooming. I love colour, more than ever! I’m slowly and seriously considering making all sorts of things… will keep you posted.

I’ve successfully hit one month without eating grains, bread or flours, or processed foods, and only a little sugar in my morning coffee. Only veggies, local meats & eggs, seeds, only some fruit, nuts and dairy. Cooking and keeping up with dishes is my main focus now. Sometimes frantic, sometimes forgetful, but erring on the side of duplication helps.

About to purchase a food processor to do some serious grating. No, it’s not neat and tidy. I’ve had to let go of that. But it’s working!!! Yay!

Laundry and showers are hit n miss. Not daily like before. House is still extremely messy and dirty but monthly helper, helps..

So very, very grateful. For all that I have. For my dear son. My friends who call and keep me sane. My family who reach out and check in. My fabulous friends who are amazing and wondrous, inspiring. My med team, angels all. Thank you thank you thank you.

❤️
